STARS ON THE RUNWAY is a fashion show with a difference, featuring celebrities and stars from Nigeria on the Runway wearing and exhibiting creations from the best of Nigerian designers to showcase and market African fashion to the world and also raise money for charitable causes.

The first of the series of events around the world took place in Lagos Nigeria on Saturday the 7th of July 2007 to rave reviews from the media and general public.  The momentous event featured 60 celebrities outfitted by 12 designers at the Lagoon Restaurant on Victoria Island.  Stars on the catwalk included Nollywood actresses Genevieve Nnaji, Omotola Jalade Ekehinde and Kate Henshaw Nuttal, football legend Segun Odegbami, Grace Egbagbe, K1 The Ultimate, Pasuma Wonder and Tony Tetuila who were outfitted by designers such as Frank Osodi, Modela and Zizi Cardow.

Unfortunately, a UK edition of the show could not take place in November 2007 due to logistics.  Nevertheless, plans are underway for 3 editions (Lagos, London and New York) of the event in the year 2008.  For sponsorship details, please email: sponsorship@r70.com.
